Veterans Day Employee Spotlight with Ujo Wadjet


Q: What was your rank, title and how many years did you serve?

A: I was an NCO, Staff Sergeant and I served 13 years.

Q: What is your role with BE! @ Community Initiatives?

A: I’m currently serving as a Wellness Consultant

Q: What does your career path look like? Tell us more about what led you here.

A: My career path has a lot of twists and turns, lol. Overall I have always been interested in creating, organizing, and managing things and I have explored those interests in several ways. I eventually ended up in the military and I served for many years. Towards the end of my military career, I started my own business as a health coach, fitness trainer, and tarot reader. At this point in my career, I align fitness, personal growth, and spiritual connection with wellness management and course creation.

Q: What do you feel are some of the greatest needs in the Veteran’s community?

A: Mental Health, Transition Assistance, Veteran-Focused Community


Q: How do you hope that BE! @ CI will support Veteran’s?

A: I hope that BE!@CI will support veterans through creating more visibility and programs that are centered around veteran’s of color

Q. What gets you out of bed every morning? (What is your motivation?)

A. Gratitude and fulfilling my soul purpose gets me out of bed every morning.

Q: What are you looking forward to the most during your time with BE! @ Community Initiatives?

A: I am most looking forward to providing accessible resources and connecting our communities.

Q: What do you hope to contribute to BE! @ Community Initiatives?

A: I hope to contribute valuable content and a great work ethic.


Q: What is one quote that you will always remember and why?

A: A quote I will always remember is “Nothing changes if nothing changes” because it reminds me to stop complaining and focus on things that are within my control.
