About the Event

White women feeling threatened, uncomfortable, and unsafe in the presence of people of color, especially Black men and women, became a constant topic of discussion last year. In 2020, "Karen" became synonymous with white women who called the police on Black people for little to no reason. Although the concept of "Karens" wasn't new, it left many people, including white women, asking why so many of them feel that way and what can be done to change their beliefs and behaviors.

This conversation will be moderated by Tamara Allen (BE! @ CI) and Karen Fleshman (Racy Conversations) with special guests Alison Price, Jodi Walker, MA, CCC-SLP, CDM, CYT, and Rachel E.S. Wright, MSW, LCSW.
